Abigail & Joey | Café Julia, Honolulu
There’s something so special about designing florals that reflect both timeless elegance and deep cultural roots—and this wedding was the perfect blend of both.
For Abigail and Joey’s August celebration at the iconic Café Julia in downtown Honolulu, we were inspired by their love for refined floral-forward design with a romantic and airy palette of whites, creams, soft blush, and the occasional textural pop. The couple leaned toward premium blooms over foliage, allowing every petal and cluster to speak for itself with intention and grace.
The bride’s bouquet featured lush garden roses, delicate scabiosa, ranunculus, and lisianthus, all tied together with a sentimental finishing touch: a strand of fresh pikake lei—a beloved nod to Hawaiian heritage and love. The lei was also delicately woven into styled flatlays and detail shots, adding not only fragrance but meaning throughout the day.
One of our favorite moments? The couple’s three fur babies, each adorned with custom floral collars, completely stealing the show during the getting-ready moments. Because yes, florals are for everyone. 🐾
